My name is Cody, I am originally from a small town in Alaska, but now live on the central coast of California.

 

I've spent time in various industries including Hospitality, Horticulture, Healthcare, and presently, Nuclear. In these, I've managed many projects that involve gathering, cleaning, and aggregating relevant data. Then, visualizing it to see trends that may have been elusive in the past. I have invested much time expanding and applying my knowledge of analytical tools to become an expert at doing so.

 

I have helped current and former employers see a wide range of improvements when utilizing these tools. ​A couple examples during my time as a Data Analyst for my local county:

I wrote dynamic SQL reports that saved time and increased the quality of California state medical reporting by automating the data pull, integration, and cleanup from multiple sources (Public Health, Behavioral Health Departments, Country Health Records). These projects always kept sensitive information confidential, and upheld HIPAA and 42CFR Privacy Rules. I also created and maintained dynamic KPI dashboards for upper management and facilitated data migration projects when implementing new Electronic Health Record software.

My love of analytics comes from the desire to democratize the understanding of raw information. Making sense of data and helping others see the various narratives in seemingly nonsensical information is very rewarding.
